Iris is a small personal project, run by one person, that helps you decide which camera to take. It is free, it is not a business, and it comes with no guarantee that it will keep working or keep existing.

You need a working email address and nothing else. Keep access to that mailbox: it is the only way in, so whoever can read it can sign in as you.

You can delete your account at any time from your cameras, which removes everything belonging to it.

The recommendation and specification-lookup features run on an Anthropic API key that you provide, and anything they cost is billed to you by Anthropic, not by Iris. You are responsible for what your key spends here.

Use a key created only for Iris, so that removing it costs you nothing else. You can remove it from settings at any time, and doing so simply turns those features off.

Your cameras and your profile are yours. If you publish a profile, you are choosing to show it to other people using Iris, so do not put anything there you would not want another member to read. Signing up is open, so treat "other members" as a wider circle than the people you sent the link to.

Do not use Iris to harass anyone, to publish anything unlawful, or to attack the service itself. An account doing that can be removed.

Iris is provided as it is. There is no uptime commitment, no support commitment, and no warranty of any kind. Recommendations are a suggestion from a model and a weather forecast, not professional advice; the camera you actually want is still your call.

To the extent the law allows it, the person running Iris is not liable for any loss arising from using it. If it goes away, you will be told before it does where that is possible.

These terms may change as the app does. The date at the top says when they last did, and material changes will be mentioned when you next sign in.
